Perth, situated in the very heart of Scotland is renowned for its fine Georgian architecture. Take a walk in Perthshire and discover why this beautiful region is known as ‘Big Tree Country’, home of the tallest trees, widest conifer and tallest hedge in Britain.

Just three miles outside the town, you’ll find Scone Palace, the traditional crowning place of Scottish Kings until the middle of the 13th century. Perth is also home to Balhousie Castle, which now houses the Black Watch Regimental Museum, and the Fergusson Gallery.

City of Dundee, Scotland

Dundee hosts an annual summer festival of street entertainment, a Guitar festival, Mountain Film Festival and its Food & Flower Festival - held in late August to September - is now the largest in Scotland.

City of Stirling, Scotland

Stirling is Scotland's heritage capital, where Wars of Independence were fought and won; where, for three centuries, monarchs ruled in regal splendour and where merchants and craftsmen plied their trade below Stirling castle rock.

Get a real sense of the country’s turbulent history with a visit to Stirling Castle, or visit to the National Wallace Monument where William Wallace is commemorated in a 220ft high tower. In an exhibition, Wallace tells his own dramatic story as he faces execution in London. Or learn about the Battle of Bannockburn at the Bannockburn Heritage Centre.

The historic town of St Andrews is located on the northeast coast of Fife.

A truly impressive medieval city, St Andrews is renowned both as one of Scotland’s finest coastal towns and as the international home of golf. It is also well known for being home to one of the most ancient universities in Europe, the University of St Andrews, where Prince William studied from 2001 to 2005.

St Andrews has one of the most stunning sandy beaches in Fife and offers wonderful shopping in quaint little shops on cobbled streets and alleys. Don’t forget to pop in to the famous Fisher & Donaldson’s Bakery for one of their delicious custard doughnuts.

GlasgowCity of Glasgow, Scotland

Crowned as European City of Culture in 1990, City of Architecture and Design in 1999, and home to the commonwealth games in 2014 Glasgow has transformed itself from a hardened past to become a city overflowing with style and culture.
